Description

I had not set out to intentionally become an ISP. I will describe in this presentation the background of how the seed of an idea was planted, how it evolved, and what it has now become.

Summary

We started with a single 5GHz wireless link from a new FTTC area to my house which had not been FTTC enabled.

I will then describe how this morphed into supplying a couple of my like-minded neighbours, followed by a rapid expansion into several areas of the town that had been missed out from the original FTTC deployment.

Deployment into two industrial parks and two rural villages (including our use of the "Tree-peater") will be considered, and the problems encountered along the way will be addressed.
