Description
The University of Cambridge is currently rolling out wireless provision across its many departments and buildings but the estate of the University in Cambridge also extends to the City centre. In partnership with the City Council, and in time for the visit of The Tour de France, the University's Network Division worked against the clock to provide free public wireless in the streets and parks of Cambridge. With the clock counting down to Le Grand Depart from Parkers Piece, it was a race against time to deliver wireless provision to places it's never been before. This presentation is an insight into how working with multiple partners within an urban environment can provide unique challenges and fulfilling rewards.
